Let’s talk openly. <\/span>Non-Muslims hardly ever deal with Islam until they are exhausted for the first time from the revelations of their religions. <\/span>Only when they become dissatisfied with the religions they know, that is, Judaism, Christianity and all the modern „things“ – Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism (and, as my little daughter added, „tourism“ ) – only then do you think about Islam.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Perhaps other religions don’t answer the important questions of life, such as „Who Made Us?“ <\/span>and „Why are we here?“ <\/span>Perhaps the other religions do not reconcile the injustices of life with a just and impartial creator. <\/span>Perhaps we find hypocrisy in the clergy, unsustainable doctrines of belief in the canon, or changes in scripture. <\/span>Whatever the reason, we recognize shortcomings in the religions known to us and look elsewhere. <\/span>And the ultimate „elsewhere“ is Islam.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Well, Muslims don’t like to hear it when I say Islam is the „ultimate elsewhere“. <\/span>But it is so. <\/span>Despite the fact that a quarter to a fifth of the world’s population is Muslim, the non-Muslim press tarnishes Islam with such horrific slander that few non-Muslims see religion in a positive light. <\/span>Therefore, it is normal that this is the last religion that those who seek the truth explore.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Another problem is that the non-Muslims who review Islam have become skeptical of the other religions they have come to know: if every scripture that we have ever seen \u201cGod-given\u201d has been changed, then how can the scripture of Islam be different? <\/span>If charlatans have manipulated religions to meet their desires, how can we imagine that the same thing has not happened to Islam?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The answer only takes a few lines, but it takes books to explain. <\/span>The short answer is: there is a God. <\/span>He is just and impartial and He wants us to get the reward of paradise. <\/span>However, God has imposed this worldly life on us as a test to screen the worthy from the unworthy. <\/span>And we would be lost if we were left to our own devices with our intentions. <\/span>Why? <\/span>Because we don’t know what He wants from and. <\/span>Without His guidance we cannot sail around the waves and waves of life and therefore He has given us guidance in the form of revelation.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Certainly the previous religions have been changed and that is why we have a chain of revelations. <\/span>Ask yourself: why would God send another revelation if the previous scriptures were still pure? <\/span>Only when the previous scriptures have been changed does God need to send another revelation to guide humanity on the right path.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

So we should assume that the previous scriptures have been changed and we should assume that the last revelation is pure and unadulterated. <\/span>If it were not pure, it would have to be replaced too, because we cannot imagine a loving God who will make us go astray. <\/span>What we can imagine is that God gives us scripture and people change it; <\/span>God gives us another scripture, and people change it again … and again, and again. <\/span>Until God sends a final revelation and promises to keep it until the end of time.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Muslims see the Holy Quran as this final revelation. <\/span>You think he … might be worth a look. <\/span>Let’s go back to the topic of the article: Why Islam? <\/span>Why should we believe that Islam is the religion of truth, a religion that has pure and ultimate revelation? <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

„Oh, just trust me.“ <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

How many times have you heard this answer? <\/span>A well-known comedian used to joke that people from different cities cursed each other in different ways. <\/span>In Chicago they curse someone like that, but in New York they just say, „Trust me.“<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

So, don’t trust me – trust our creator. <\/span>Read the Quran and study good websites. <\/span>But whatever you do, start taking it seriously and pray to our Creator to guide you. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Your life may not depend on it, but your soul definitely does. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
