\nThe Birth of Mary <\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n

„Verily, God chose Adam and Noah and the house Abraham and the house` Imran before all worlds a sex from which one comes from the other, and God is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. Then the woman `lmrans said:“ Mine Lord, behold, I vow to consecrate what is in my body; so accept it from me; behold, you are the hearer, the knower. “ <\/span>And when she gave birth, she said, „Sir, look, I gave birth to a girl.“ <\/span>And God knew well what she had born; <\/span>because the boy is not like the girl. <\/span>„And I called her Maria, and behold, I want her and her descendants to take refuge with you from stoned Satan.“ <\/span>(Quran 3: 33-36) <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Mary’s childhood<\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n

\u201cAnd so she accepted graciously and let her grow up in the care of Zacharias. <\/span>Whenever Zacharias came into the temple with her, he found food with her. <\/span>Then he said: „Oh Maria, where does this come from?“ <\/span>She said, „It is from God; behold, God provides unlimited who He wants.“ <\/span>(Qur’an 3:37) <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\nMary the Devoted <\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n

\u201cAnd then the angels said:“ Oh Mary, behold, God chose you and purified you and chose you before the women of the worlds. <\/span>O Mary, be devout before your Lord and prostrate yourself and bow down with the ones who bow down. „This is one of the proclamations of the hidden that We reveal to you. Because you were not with them when they threw their loose tubes, who Maria should take care of them. And you were not with them when they argued with each other. \u201d <\/span>(Quran 3:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\nThe good news from a newborn child.<\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n

\u201cAt that time the angels said:“ O Mary behold, God announces a word from him; his name is the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, viewed in this world and in the hereafter, and one of those who are close to (God). And he will speak in the cradle to people and also as an adult, and he will be one of the righteous. “ <\/span>She said: „Sir, should I be born a son when no man touched me?“ <\/span>He said: „God also creates what He wants; if He has decided something, He only says to him:“ Be! „And it is.“ <\/span>And He will teach him the Book and the Wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel and will send him to the children of Israel. <\/span>(He will speak \ud83d\ude42 „See, I came to you with a sign from your Lord. \u201cAnd exhort in the Book of Mary. <\/span>When she retired from her family to an eastern place and shielded herself from her, We sent Our Angel Gabriel to her and he appeared to her in the shape of a perfect human being and she said: „I take my refuge from you with the merciful one , (let go of me) if you have fear of God. “ <\/span>He said: „I am your Lord’s messenger. (He sent me to you) so that I can give you a pure son.“ <\/span>She said: „How should a son be given to me when no man has ever touched me and I’m not a whore either?“ <\/span>He said: „It is so; but your Lord says:“ It is easy for me and we make it a sign for the people and for our mercy, and this is a decided thing. \u201d[Quran 19:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd those who kept their chastity, We breathed in from Our Spirit and made them and their son a sign for the worlds.\u201d [2] (Quran 21:91)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Birth of Jesus<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

\u201cSo she received him and retired to a remote place with him. <\/span>And the pains of birth drove her to the trunk of a date palm. <\/span>She said: „Oh, I would have died before and would be completely forgotten!“ <\/span>Then he called to her from below: „Do not be sad. Your master has let a stream flow to you and shake the trunk of the palm in your direction, and she will drop fresh ripe dates on you. So eat and drink and be happy And if you see a person, say: „I have praised the merciful to fast, that’s why I don’t want to talk to anybody today.“ Then she brought him in her arms to yours. They said: „Oh Maria, you did something outrageous. <\/span>O sister of Aaron, your father was not a villain and your mother was not a whore. „Then she pointed to him. <\/span>They said, „How should we talk to someone who is still a child in the cradle?“ <\/span>He (Jesus) said: „I am a servant of God: He gave me the book and made me a prophet. And He gave me his blessing wherever I may be, and He commanded me prayer and Zakah as long as I live and deferential to my mother (to be); He did not make me violent and ill-fated. And peace was upon me the day I was born and (peace will be upon me) the day I die and the day I come back to life. “ <\/span>(Quran 19: 22-33) <\/span>wherever I may be, and He commanded me to pray and Zakah as long as I live and respectfully be against my mother; <\/span>He didn’t make me violent and unhappy. <\/span>And peace was upon me on the day I was born and (peace will be on me) on the day when I will die and on the day when I will be brought back to life. \u201d <\/span>(Quran 19: 22-33) <\/span>wherever I may be, and He commanded me to pray and Zakah as long as I live and respectfully be against my mother; <\/span>He didn’t make me violent and unhappy. <\/span>And peace was upon me on the day I was born and (peace will be on me) on the day when I will die and on the day when I will be brought back to life. \u201d <\/span>(Quran 19: 22-33)<\/span><\/span>
\n\u201cVerily, Jesus is like Adam before God; <\/span>He created it out of earth as if He then said to it: „Be!“ <\/span>and there he was. „[3] (Quran 3:59) <\/span><\/span>
\n“ And we made the son of Mary and his mother a sign and gave them refuge on a hill with a green area and a flowing spring. „[4] ( Quran 23:50)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\nThe excellence of Mary<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

„And God gives the example of Pharaoh’s wife to those who believe, when she said:“ My lord! Build me a house with you in paradise and free me from Pharaoh and his deeds and free me from the people of the unjust! “ <\/span>And (God sets the example) of Mary, the daughter `lmrans, (before,) who kept her shame – that’s why We breathed into it from Our Spirit; <\/span>and she believed in the words of her Lord and in His scriptures and was one of the obedient. \u201d <\/span>(Quran 66: 11-12) <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Footnotes:<\/span><\/span>
\n[1] Jesus is a sign of the power of God, because God proved to man that he could create Jesus without a father, just like He created Adam without a parent. <\/span>Jesus is also a sign that God is very well able to revive all people after their death, because the One who creates from nothing can bring life again. <\/span>It is also a sign of Judgment Day when it will return to Earth at the end of time and defeat the Antichrist. <\/span><\/span>
\n[2] Just as God created Adam without a father and mother, Jesus was born from a mother without a father. <\/span>All that is needed for something to happen is to say, „Be,“ and it is; <\/span>because God is capable of all things.<\/span><\/span>
\n[3] Adam was created when God said, „Be!“ <\/span>and he came to existence without a father and without a mother. <\/span>And similarly, Jesus was created by the Word of God. <\/span>If this unusual birth made Jesus divine, Adam is much more likely to be divine, because Jesus had at least one parent while Adam had none. <\/span>Since Adam is not divine, neither is Jesus, but both were devoted servants of God. <\/span><\/span>
\n[4] This was when Mary gave birth to Jesus. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n(part 2 of 3): Jesus I <\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

\nJesus the Prophet<\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n

„Speak: We believe in God and what has been sent down to us, and what has been sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the tribes (of Israel), and what has been given to Moses and Jesus, and what has been given to the prophets from their Lord has been given. <\/span>We make no difference between them and we are devoted to Him. \u201d(Quran 2: 136) <\/span><\/span>
\n\u201c Truly, We have revealed to you (Muhammad) as We have revealed to Noah and the Prophet after him. <\/span>And We revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, the Tribes (Israel), Jesus, Job, Jonas, Aaron and Solomon; <\/span>and We gave David a book (Zabur). \u201d(Quran 4: 163)<\/span><\/span>
\n\u201cThe Messiah, the son of Mary, was only an envoy (like others); <\/span>certainly other envoys have passed before him. <\/span>And his mother was a true one [1]; <\/span>both used to eat food [2]. <\/span>See how We explain the signs to them and see how they turn away. \u201d(Quran 5:75) <\/span><\/span>
\n\u201c He (Jesus) was only a servant to whom We had shown mercy, and We made him an example of them Children of Israel. \u201d(Quran 43:59) <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\nThe Message from Jesus <\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n

\u201c We made them (the Prophet) follow Jesus, the Son of Mary; <\/span>to confirm what was in the Torah before him; <\/span>and we gave him the gospel, which contained guidance and light, to confirm what was in the Torah before him and as guidance and admonition for those who fear God. \u201d(Quran 5:46)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cO people of the Scriptures, do not exaggerate your belief and speak of God but the truth. <\/span>Verily, the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, is only the Messenger of God and His Word, which He has given to Mary (He says: „Be!“ And it is), and from His Spirit [3]. <\/span>Therefore believe in God and His messengers and do not say „three.“ <\/span>Lower (that) is better for you. <\/span>God is only one. <\/span>It is far from His glory to attribute a child to Him. <\/span>His is what is in heaven and what is on earth; <\/span>and God is enough as a lawyer. <\/span>The Messiah will never despise serving God; <\/span>nor are the angels close to (God); <\/span>and whoever scorns to worship Him and feels exalted to it, He will gather them all together. <\/span>(Quran 4: 171-172)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

„This is Jesus, son of Mary (this is) a statement of truth about which they are divided. <\/span>It is not befitting God to take a son. <\/span>Praise be to him! <\/span>When He decides something, He only says: „Be!“ <\/span>and it is. <\/span>[4] (Jesus said \ud83d\ude42 „Verily, God is my Lord and your Lord. So serve Him! It is a straight path.“ <\/span>But the parties became divided among themselves (on the straight path); <\/span>therefore woe to those who disbelieve; <\/span>they will have a great day. \u201d(Quran 19: 34-37)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

„And when Jesus came with clear evidence, he said:“ Verily, I came to you with wisdom, and to make clear to you something of what you disagree about. So fear God and obey me. Verily, God is alone my lord and your lord. Therefore serve Him. It is a straight path. “ <\/span>But the parties then disagreed with each other (about the message of Jesus); <\/span>then woe to those who commit wickedness before the punishment of a painful day! \u201d(Quran 43: 63-65)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

„And there said Jesus, the son of Mary:“ O children of Israel, I am God’s Messenger with you, the confirmation of what was before the Torah before me, and the bearer of the good news of a messenger who will come after me His name will be Ahmad „And when he came to them with the evidence, they said,“ This is an obvious magic. „(Quran 61: 6) [5] <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\nThe Miracles of Jesus<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

„Then she pointed to him. <\/span>They said, „How should we talk to someone who is still a child in the cradle?“ He (Jesus) said: „I am a servant of God: He gave me the book and made me a prophet. And He gave His blessings to me wherever I may be, and He commanded me to pray and zakah as long as I live and respectfully be to my mother, He did not make me violent and ill-fated, and peace was upon me on the day when I was born, and (peace will be upon me) the day I die and the day I come back to life. \u201d(Quran 19: 29-33) <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The table (with food) from heaven with God’s permission<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

„When the disciples said,“ O Jesus son of Mary, is your Lord able to send us a table (with dishes) from heaven? “ <\/span>he said, „Fear God if you are believers.“ <\/span>They said, „We want to eat of it, and our hearts should be calm, and we want to know that you really spoke to us, and we want to testify for it ourselves.“ <\/span>Then said Jesus, the son of Mary: „O God, our Lord, send us a table (with food) down from heaven, that it be a feast for us, for the first of us and for the last of us, and one Sign of you; and take care of us, because you are the best provider. “ <\/span>God said: „Behold, I will send him down (the table) to you; but whoever disbelieves afterwards, I will punish you,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\nJesus and His Disciples <\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

„O you who believe, are God’s helpers like Jesus, the son of Mary, (when he) said to the disciples:“ Who are my helpers for God? “ <\/span>The disciples said, „We are God’s helpers.“ <\/span>Some of the children of Israel believed this, while some remained unbelieving. <\/span>We gave strength to those who believed against their enemy, and they became victorious. „(Quran 61:14) [6] <\/span><\/span>
\n“ And when I told the disciples to believe in Me and in My Messenger, they said: “ We believe and be a witness that we are devoted to you. “ <\/span>(Quran 5: 111)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThen we let our messengers follow their tracks; <\/span>and we made Jesus the son of Mary follow them, and we gave him the gospel. <\/span>And in the hearts of those who followed him, We placed kindness and mercy. <\/span>But the monasticism that they invented in the pursuit of God’s pleasure – We did not prescribe this for them; <\/span>and yet they did not follow it in the right way. Still, We gave wages to those of them who believed, but many of them were wrongdoers. <\/span>O you who believe, fear God and believe in His Messenger! <\/span>He will give you a double portion of His mercy and will give you a light in which you will walk and will forgive you – and God is Forgiving, Merciful, so that the people of the Scriptures will not think that they (the Muslims) are unable, <\/span>to attain the grace of God, and (so that they know) that the grace is in God’s hand, so that He may lend it to whom He wants. <\/span>And God has great grace. \u201d[7] (Quran 57: 27-29)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

[1] The Arabic word indicates the highest possible degree of belief, there is only a higher one, namely prophecy. <\/span><\/span>
\n[2] Both the Messiah and his pious mother used to eat and this is not a quality of God who neither eats nor drinks. <\/span>The one who eats also has bowel movements, and this cannot be a characteristic of God. <\/span>Jesus is here equated with all the noble prophets who had preceded him: their message was the same and their status as non-divine creatures of God was similar. <\/span>The highest honor that can be achieved by a person is prophecy and Jesus is one of the five honored prophets. <\/span>See verses 33: 7 & 42:13<\/span><\/span>
\n[3] Jesus is called a word of God or a soul of God, because he was created when God said: „Be!“ And he was. <\/span>Here he is special because all people except Adam and Eve were created with two parents. <\/span>But despite this uniqueness, like everyone else, Jesus is not divine, but a mortal creature. <\/span><\/span>
\n[4] If the creation of Jesus without a father made him the son of God, then everyone else that God created without ancestors should also be divine, including Adam and Eve and the first animals and the whole earth with its mountains and seas . <\/span>But Jesus was created like all things on earth when God said, „Be!“ And he was.<\/span><\/span>
\n[5] This can refer to both prophets, Jesus and Muhammad, peace be upon them. <\/span>When they came to their people with their message from God, they were accused of bringing magic. <\/span><\/span>
\n[6] The believers‘ victory came through the message of Islam, and it was a physical and spiritual victory. <\/span>Islam removed all doubts about Jesus and provided conclusive evidence of his prophecy, and that was the spiritual success. <\/span>Islam was also spread physically, which gave refuge and power to those who believed in the message of Jesus against their enemy, and that was the physical success.<\/span><\/span>
\n[7] God grants His guidance to whom He wants, regardless of his lineage and race. <\/span>And when people believe, God rewards them and ranks higher than others. <\/span>However, if you do not believe, God will disparage you, even if you have been honored beforehand. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\n(part 3 of 3): Jesus II <\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

\nThe Passion of Christ<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

\u201cAnd when Jesus perceived their unbelief, he said,“ Who is my helper (on the way) to God? “ <\/span>The disciples said: „We are God’s helpers; we believe in God and (you should) testify that we are (Him) devoted. [1] Our Lord, we believe in what you have sent down and follow the Messenger Therefore, list us among the witnesses. “ <\/span>And they made a ruse, and God made a ruse; <\/span>and God is the best list maker. <\/span>At that time God said: „Oh Jesus, behold, I want you to be divorced [2] and I want to raise you up to Me and I want to liberate you from the unbelievers and I want to put your followers over the unbelievers until the day of resurrection to return, and I will judge between you what you disagreed with. \u201d(Quran 3: 52-55)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd because of their speech:“ We killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the Messenger of God, „while they neither killed nor crucified him, but this was only faked for them; <\/span>[3] and those who disagree on this matter are truly in doubt about it; <\/span>they have no knowledge of it, but only follow a guess; <\/span>and they certainly didn’t kill him. <\/span>Rather, God has lifted him up to Himself, [4] and God is Almighty, Wise. \u201d(Quran 4: 157-158) <\/span><\/span>
\nThe followers of Jesus<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

„And if someone argues with you about him (Jesus) after the knowledge came to you, say:“ Come here, let’s call our sons and your sons, our women and your women and our souls and your souls let us supplicate to God and punish the liars with God\u2019s curse. “ <\/span>Verily, this is the story of truth, and there is no god but God, and God is truly the Almighty, the All-Wise. <\/span>And when they turn away, God knows the wrongdoers. <\/span>Say: „O people of the Scriptures, come to us of the same word [5] between us and you, namely that we serve God alone and do not place anything next to Him and that neither of us take the others as masters except God. [6 ] „And when they turn away (from the truth), say:“ Testify that we (Him) are devoted. „<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

„Truly, those who say:“ God is the Messiah, the son of Mary, are incredulous. “ <\/span>Say: „Who could possibly do anything against God if He wants to destroy the Messiah, the son of Mary, his mother and those who are all on earth?“ <\/span>God is the kingdom of heaven and earth and what is between them. <\/span>He creates what He wants; <\/span>and God has power over all things. And the Jews and the Christians said: „We are the sons of Allah and his darlings.“ <\/span>Say: „Then why does He punish you for your sins? No, you are human beings from those He created.“ <\/span>He forgives who he wants and punishes who he wants. <\/span>And Allah is the kingdom of heaven and earth and what is between them, and to Him is the return. \u201d(Quran 5: 17-18)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

„Truly, those who say:“ God is the Messiah, the Son of Mary „are incredulous, while the Messiah himself said:“ O children of Israel, pray to God, my Lord and your Lord. “ <\/span>Whoever puts God to the side of God, God has denied paradise, and the fire will be his home. <\/span>And the wicked should not find helpers. <\/span>Truly, those who say „God is the third of three“ are incredulous [7]; <\/span>and there is no god except one God. <\/span>And unless they truly distance themselves from what they say, those of them who remain unbelievers will suffer a painful punishment. <\/span>Don’t you want to turn ruefully to God and ask forgiveness? <\/span>And God is Forgiving, Merciful. \u201d <\/span>(Quran 5: 72-74)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd the Jews say that Ezra is God’s son [8], and the Christians say that the Messiah is God’s son. <\/span>That is the word from her mouth. <\/span>They imitate the speech of those who previously disbelieved. <\/span>God’s curse on them! <\/span>How misguided they are! <\/span>They have taken their scribes and monks to lords except God; <\/span>and the Messiah, son of Mary. <\/span>And yet they had been ordered to worship only the One God. <\/span>It is not a god but Him. <\/span>May He be praised for what you put aside! <\/span>\u201d[9] (Quran 9: 30-31) <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c O you who believe, truly, many of the scribes and monks wrongly consume the goods of men and turn them away from Allah’s way. <\/span>And those who hoard gold and silver and do not use it for God’s way promise painful punishment to them. \u201d(Quran 9:34)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\nThe Second Coming <\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

\u201cAnd there is no one among the people of Scripture who will not believe in it before his death [10]; <\/span>and on the day of resurrection he will be a witness against them. „[11] (Quran 4: 159) <\/span><\/span>
\n“ But surely he (Jesus) is a forerunner of the hour. <\/span>So she does not doubt [12] but follows Me. <\/span>It is a straight path (leading to God and to Paradise). \u201d <\/span>(Quran 43:61) <\/span><\/span>
\nJesus on the day of revival<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

„When God will say:“ O Jesus, son of Mary, remember my grace against you and against your mother; how I strengthened you with holy inspiration (through Gabriel and) you spoke to people in both the cradle and the age of man ; and how I taught you the scriptures and wisdom and the Torah and the gospel; and how you made with clay with my permission what looked like birds, you then breathed in (breath) and it became with my permission ( real) birds; and how you healed the blind and the leper with my permission; and how you raised the dead with my permission; and how I kept the children of Israel from you when you came to them with clear signs and the unbelievers among them said, „This is nothing but obvious magic.“ (Quran 5: 110)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

„And when God (on the day of resurrection) will say:“ O Jesus, son of Mary, did you say to the people: „Take me and my mother as two gods next to God?“ [13], he will answer: “ You are praised. <\/span>I could never say what I had no right to do. <\/span>If I had said it, you would surely know. <\/span>You know what is in my soul, but I do not know what you have in you. <\/span>You alone are the omniscient of the hidden. \n[1] The name of the disciple in the Quran is al-Hawariyyun, which means to you who have been cleaned how the color is white. <\/span>It is also reported that they used to dress in white. <\/span><\/span>
\n[2] Jesus was raised in a sleeping state. <\/span>The word used here is wafah, which can mean sleep or death. <\/span>In Arabic, sleep is called the lesser death. <\/span>Since verse 4: 157 denies the murder and crucifixion of Jesus and since everyone dies once but Jesus will come back to earth, sleep is the only lasting interpretation of this verse.<\/span><\/span>

\n[10] The pronoun at \u201chis death\u201d can refer to Jesus or to the individual of the people of the Scriptures. <\/span>When referring to Jesus, it means that all people of Scripture will believe in him on his second return to earth and before his death. <\/span>Jesus will correct that he is a prophet of God and not God or the Son of God and he will ask all people to worship God alone and to submit to Him alone in Islam. <\/span>If the pronoun refers to the people of Scripture, the verse means that each one of them will see something just before his death that will convince him that Jesus was a true prophet of God and not God. <\/span>But this belief will be of no use to him at that time, because it does not arise from his free choice,<\/span><\/span>

\n[12] The second coming of Jesus will be a sign that the day of judgment is near. <\/span><\/span>
\n[13] Worshiping others with God is the same as worshiping God instead. <\/span>Both mean that worship is directed to someone other than God, when God is the only and only person who is entitled to worship.<\/span><\/span>
\n[14] God knows, as Jesus said, that Jesus did not ask anyone to worship him or his mother. <\/span>The aim of the question is to emphasize for those who worship Jesus and Mary that if they are true followers of Jesus, they should stop because Jesus never asked them to. <\/span>But if you continue, you should know that Jesus will renounce you on the last day and that you have not followed him, but only your personal preferences. <\/span><\/span>
\n[15] In other words, you know who deserves the punishment, so you will punish him. <\/span>And you know who deserves forgiveness, so you will forgive him. <\/span>Because you are in fact the Almighty who has the power to punish and you are wise in judging all things, therefore you will forgive those who deserve forgiveness.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
