Das Problem mit der \u201cNation des Islam\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Michael Young<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>\n<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">(part 1 of 2)<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>\n<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The Foundations of Islamic Belief <\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">It is forgivable if someone assumes that every group with the word Islam in their title is Muslim. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">But if a group calls itself the &#8222;nation of Islam&#8220;, then you have to be really careful. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">To be a Muslim means to hold onto certain theological foundations of belief. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The Muslim creed reads:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">&#8222;I testify that there is no god but God and I testify that Muhammad is a prophet of God.&#8220; <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">To elaborate these statements to be a Muslim means to believe that God is one. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He has no partner, no partner, no son, he will never be born again. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">As clarified in Chapter 112 of the Quran. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">&#8222;Say:&#8220; He is God, one <\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">God, the Absolute (eternally independent, on whom everything depends). <\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He does not produce and has not been created <\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">and none is equal to Him. &#8220; <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">In Islam, associating partners with God is called shirk, it is the greatest of all sins, and the Qur&#8217;an demands in chapter 4 verse 36: <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">&#8222;And serve God and do not set anything aside for him.&#8220;<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Second, Muslims believe that Muhammad is the &#8222;seal&#8220; or the last of the prophets. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">To acknowledge someone else who claims to be a Prophet after Muhammad means to leave Islam. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">As the Qur&#8217;an says: <\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">&#8222;Muhammad is not the father of one of your men, but the Messenger of Allah and the last of all prophets, and Allah has full knowledge of all things.&#8220; <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">(Quran 33:40) <\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">This is corroborated by numerous statements by Prophet Muhammad that God&#8217;s blessings and peace be upon him. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">\u201cThe tribes of Israel were led by prophets. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">When a prophet died, another followed. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">But after me no prophet will come; <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">only Khalifas will follow me. \u201d <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">(Sahieh Al-Bukhari)<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">\u201cThirty great liars (Dajjal) are born in my Ummah, each of whom will claim to be a prophet. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">But I am the last prophet, there is no prophet after me. \u201d <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">(Abu Dawud, At-Tirmidhi) <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>\n<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The drifted theology of the &#8222;nation of Islam&#8220; <\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The &#8222;nation of Islam&#8220; does not adhere to these core tenets of Islamic theology. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">They believe that God appeared on earth in the person of their founder, a &#8222;Great Man from the East&#8220;, Master W. Fard Muhammad, a preacher who attracted public attention in the United States on July 4, 1930 and then on February 26, 1934 mysteriously &#8222;left the scene&#8220;. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">As the NOI website clearly explains:<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">&#8222;WE BELIEVE that Allah (God) appeared in the person of Master W. Fard Muhammad, in July 1930, the long-awaited&#8220; Messiah &#8222;of Christians and the&#8220; Mahdi &#8222;of Muslims.&#8220; <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">In 1934 after the unexplained disappearance of the &#8222;Masters&#8220;, the organization he founded was run by an Elijah Poole, known as the honorable Elijah Muhammad. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Until recently, the &#8222;nation of Islam&#8220; attributed Elijah Muhammad to the status of the prophet. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Therefore, it is clear that despite their name and although they call themselves Muslims, the &#8222;nation of Islam&#8220; has views of God that are incompatible with Islam. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Louis Farrakhan, the current leader of the nation of Islam, is now allowed to enter UK,<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The \u201chonorable\u201d Elijah Muhammad is the \u201cprophet\u201d of the nation of Islam. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">\u201cMaster\u201d W. Fard Muhammad is the man in whose person God, according to the nation of Islam, appeared in America in the early 1930s. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>\n<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Racist ideology also does not fit Islam <\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">A third thing that does not fit Islam and that actually attracts far more attention in the secular media is the issue of the race. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The leader of the current &#8222;nation of Islam&#8220;, Louis Farrakhan, is reported to have made some offensive anti-Jewish (as opposed to anti-Zionist) comments. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Among other unfortunate statements, he is said to have called Judaism the &#8222;gutter religion&#8220;.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Furthermore, the NOI is a racial separation organization that is exclusively for black people who come from slaves. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Real Islam is a universal religion that is open to people of all races. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Muslims are expected to make no distinctions between people based on their ethnic origin, but rather on the basis of piety and upright behavior. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">As the Quran clearly says: <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">&#8222;People were one community.&#8220; <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">(Quran 2: 213) <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">\u201cO people, we have created you from man and woman and made you peoples and tribes so that you may know each other. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Verily, the most respected of you who is most feared of God is before God. \u201d(Quran 49:13)<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">And in his last sermon, the Prophet Muhammad made it clear that racism has no place in Islam. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">\u201cOh, you people! <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Indeed, your master is one and your father is one. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">All of you are Adam&#8217;s descendants, and Adam was made of clay. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">There is no superiority of an Arab over a non-Arab and a non-Arab over an Arab; <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">and no white over black and no black over white except in piety. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Indeed, the noblest of you is the most pious. \u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">In contrast, NOI has expressed anti-white bias. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">They call blacks the chosen people of God and the Caucasians white devils. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">They call for a separate home country for American blacks, racially separate classes and a ban on marriages of different racial backgrounds. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Another quote from their website: <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">We believe we are the people that God has chosen. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">WE BELIEVE this is the time in history for a separation of the so-called Negros and the so-called White Americans. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">We want our people in America, whose parents or grandparents descend from slaves, to be allowed to establish a separate state or territory, either on this continent or elsewhere.<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">We want all black children to be educated, taught and trained by their own teachers. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">We believe that intermarriage or intermingling should be prohibited. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>\n<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">(part 2 of 2) <\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">fellow Muslims with the bluest eyes and the whitest skin &#8230; <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Former NOI members who recognized anti-white racism as foolishness and converted to real Islam include Malcolm X and the heavyweight world champion, Muhammad Ali with a. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Both commented on the subject:<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">\u201c[The Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca] was an exhilarating experience to see people of different colors, races and nationalities, kings of heads of state and simple men from very poor countries dressed in two simple cloths, praying to God without any trace of pride or inferiority on. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">It was a practical manifestation of equality in Islam. \u201d <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">(Muhammed Ali)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">\u201cDuring the past eleven days here in the Muslim world, I&#8217;ve eaten with fellow Muslims from the same plate, drunk from the same glass, and slept in the same bed (or on the same mat) &#8211; while we worshiped the same God &#8211; whose eyes were the bluest of the blue whose hair was the blondest of the blond, and whose skin was the whitest of the white. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">And in the words and deeds of the &#8218;white&#8216; Muslims, I felt the same sincerity that I felt among black African Muslims from Nigeria, Sudan and Ghana. \u201d <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">&#8222;We were really all the same &#8211; because their belief in the one God removed the &#8218;white&#8216; from their heads, the &#8218;white&#8216; from their behavior and the &#8218;white&#8216; from their minds.&#8220;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">\u201cThis religion recognizes all men as brothers. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">It accepts all human beings as equal before God and as equal members of the human family of mankind. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">I totally reject Elijah Muhammad&#8217;s racist philosophy, which he used to characterize Islam, to deceive gullible people and abuse how he fooled and abused me. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">But I only blame myself and no one else for making a fool of myself, for the damage I did to others in my evangelical stupidity on his behalf. \u201d <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">(Malcolm X) <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>\n<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Where to the &#8222;Nation of Islam&#8220;?<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">As laudable as the lifestyle advocated by the NOI is, none can escape the fact that despite some of the insignia of Islam, theology, and the ideology that they represent, they are not Islamic, but in fact a thorn in the eye of Islam. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">However, there are some signs that they may develop for the better.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">After the death of Elijah Mohammed in 1976, his son Wallace D. Muhammad (now known as Imam Warrithuddin Mohammed) took over the leadership of the NOI, renamed the organization to Muslim American Society and tried to steer it towards orthodox Islam. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">After three years, a grumpy Louis Farrakhan split off and re-established the NOI, which was again based on the teachings of Elijah Mohammed. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">But in February of this year, when Farrakhan had recovered from a fight against prostate cancer that might have given him cause for thought, he met with Wallace and made an important move in the main direction of Islam by declaring: <\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">&#8222;Allah sent Muhammad to the world with the last revelation &#8230; There is no prophet after Muhammad and no book after the Quran.&#8220;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Let us hope that comparable orthodox statements about God and about race may follow soon. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Let&#8217;s hope for a day when Louis Farrakhan and his NOI will follow the example of their former colleague, Malcolm X, who found his way out of the so-called &#8222;Nation of Islam&#8220; to the real Islam and who said: <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">\u201cI declare that I am no longer in Elijah Muhammad&#8217;s &#8217;straitjacket&#8216; and I do not intend to replace it with one that someone else has woven. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">I am a Muslim in the most orthodox sense; <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">my religion is Islam as it is believed and practiced by the Muslims in the holy city of Mecca. \u201d <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Alhamdulillah.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Source: https:\/\/www.islamland.com\/deu\/articles\/worauf-ein-name-hinweist&#8212;das-problem-mit-der-nation-des-islam<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Michael Young &nbsp; (part 1 of 2) &nbsp; The Foundations of Islamic Belief It is forgivable if someone assumes that every group with the word Islam in their title is Muslim.
