<\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">(Al-Tirmidhi)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">This is how Jabir ibn Samurades described the last prophet, the head of the pious, the leader of the faithful, the elect of the most gracious &#8211; Muhammad, the Messenger of God.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He had a pleasant face that was round, white, and even. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">His hair fell to his earlobes. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">His beard was thick and black. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">When he liked something, his face lit up. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">His laugh was nothing more than a smile. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">His eyes were blackish and his eyelashes long. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">His long eyebrows were bent. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">When Abdullah ibn Salam, the chief rabbi of Medina, saw his face, he explained that such a noble face could not be the face of a liar!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">It was medium in size, neither large nor small. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He leaned forward, leaning forward. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He was wearing tanned leather sandals. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">His pants reached the middle of the shin or sometimes just above his ankles.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">On his back, below the left shoulder, was the seal of the \u2018prophecy\u2019. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">It was the size of a pigeon egg with bright spots like paint in it. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">His palms are described as softer than silk brocade.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">When he approached, he was recognized from afar by his fragrance. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The drops of his sweat are compared to pearls. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">His companions collected his sweat to mix it with their perfume, which made it smell better!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Islamic teaching states that when someone experiences the blessing of seeing the prophet in a dream as he was described, he has actually seen him.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He often remained silent for a long time and was the most dignified when he was silent. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">When he spoke, he uttered nothing but the truth, in a voice that was pleasant to the ear. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He did not speak in a hurry like many people do today, but spoke clearly so that those who were sitting with him could keep it. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">His language is described in such a way that if someone had wanted to count his words, it would have been easy to do so. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">His companions described him as neither vulgar nor indecent. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He never cursed or abused anyone. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He only chided by his statement:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">&#8222;What is wrong with him and with people?&#8220; <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">(Sahieh Al-Bukhari)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The behavior he hated the most was lies. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Sometimes he would repeat himself two or three times so that his audience could understand him better. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He gave short sermons. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">His eyes reddened, his voice grew louder, and his emotions became visible, as if warning of the immediate attack of an enemy.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He lived a simple life, without pomp or waste. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He turned his back on worldly life and left it behind. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He considered it a prison, not a paradise! <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">If he wanted, he could have gotten anything he wanted because he was offered the keys of the treasures, but he didn&#8217;t accept them. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He exchanged his part in this life for the hereafter. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He knew that this was just a corridor, not a permanent residence. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He completely understood that it was a transit station and not an amusement park. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He recognized its real value &#8211; a summer cloud that will soon dissolve.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">God says He made Him rich (and sure in faith) after being poor and searching:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">&#8222;Didn&#8217;t He find you needy and make you rich?&#8220; <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">(Quran 93: 8)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Aisha, his wife, reported:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">\u201cA month passed in which the Muhammad family did not light a fire. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">They fed on two things: dates and water. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Some of the people of Medina who were their neighbors sent milk from their sheep, which he drank and gave to his family. \u201d <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">(Sahieh Al-Bukhari, Sahieh Muslim) <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">She also reported that the Muhammad family never ate wheat bread for three consecutive days from when they reached Medina until his death until they were full &#8211; that was over ten years ! <\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">But he got up in the middle of the night to show his gratitude to his throat in prayer. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He prayed until his feet swelled! <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">And when his wives asked him why he worshiped God so much, his simple answer was:<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">&#8222;Shouldn&#8217;t I be a grateful servant of God?&#8220; <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">(Sahieh Al-Bukhari, Sahieh Muslim) <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Umar, one of his companions, remembered the days when they were starving and said that sometimes the Prophet did not even have rotten dates to satisfy his hunger! <\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Another companion, Abdullah ibn Mas&#8217;ud, witnessed when the Prophet, may God praise him, once rose from sleep. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The mat he usually slept on was made of hard palm leaves and left deep marks on his body. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Abdullah reproachfully said: <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">\u201cMay my father and mother be sacrificed for you. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Why don&#8217;t you let us make something (softer) for you that could protect you? \u201d <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He replied:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">\u201cI have nothing to do with this world. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">I am in this world like a rider who rests in the shade of a tree for a short time and continues the journey after a rest and leaves the tree behind. \u201d <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">(Al-Tirmidhi) <\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Numerous conquerors are known in the history books for shedding rivers of blood and building pyramids out of skulls. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Muhammad, may God praise him, was known for his forgiveness. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He never took revenge on anyone who had wronged him. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">This is borne out by the fact that he never hit anyone with his hand, neither woman nor slave, unless he was fighting in battle. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">We see his pardon most clearly on the day when he moved into Mecca after eight years of exile as a conqueror.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He forgave those who had persecuted him and forced him and his family to spend three years in exile in the rugged mountains; <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">to those who had called him mad, poet or possessed. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He forgave Abu Sufyan, one of the worst of his people, who had made plans to persecute him day and night, along with his wife Hind, who desecrated the dead body of the Prophet&#8217;s Muslim uncle and ate his raw liver after she wahchi , commissioned a grim slave known for his relentless fighting to kill him, which later made him accept Islam. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Who else had such a sublime character as the noblest and most truthful Messenger of God?<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Wahschi, who used to live in Mecca, gained his freedom through Hind&#8217;s commission to kill the Prophet&#8217;s uncle. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">When Islam conquered Mecca, Wahschi ran away from Mecca to Taif. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">But soon Taif was on the verge of being captured by the Muslims. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He was told that Muhammad forgave everyone who accepted Islam. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Though his crime was so great, he gathered all his courage, came to the Prophet of Mercy and spoke out for Islam, and Muhammad, may God praise him, forgave him.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">His pardon even reached Habbar ibn Aswad. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">When Zaynab, the Prophet&#8217;s daughter, emigrated from Mecca to Medina, the Meccans tried to stop them, one of them was habitable. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">It was through him that the Prophet&#8217;s pregnant daughter fell from her camel. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Due to the fall, she lost her baby. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Escaping from the guilt of this crime, Habbar fled to Iran, but God turned his heart to the Prophet. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">So he came to the Prophet&#8217;s judgment, confessed his guilt, pronounced the creed, and was forgiven by the Prophet!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Muhammad, may God praise him, performed miracles with God&#8217;s permission. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He split the moon in half by pointing his finger at it. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">On a journey known as Mi&#8217;raa\u011f, he traveled from Mecca to Jerusalem on a heavenly mount, the Buraq, in a single night; <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">there he directed prayer for all the prophets and then ascended the seven heavens to meet his Lord. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He healed the sick and the blind; <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">at his command the demons left the possessed, water flowed from his fingers and his food praised God.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He was also the most undemanding person. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He sat on the floor, ate on the floor, and slept on the floor. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">A companion reported that when a stranger came to a gathering where he was present, he could not distinguish the prophet from his companion because of his modesty. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Anas, his servant, vowed that the prophet had never chastised or rebuked him for anything in the nine years of his ministry. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The people who were with him described Muhammad as so modest that even a little girl could hold his hand whenever she wished. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He also used to visit the sick among the Muslims and attended their funerals. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He used to travel at the end of the caravan to help the weak and to pray for them. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He didn&#8217;t hesitate <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">to go with a widow or a poor man until he has done their job. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He always accepted invitations, even if they came from slaves, and he ate nothing more than simple bread with them.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He was the best man to his women. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Aisha, his wife, described how humble he was: <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">\u201cHe used to deal with serving and helping his household; <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">and when it was time for prayer, he did the prayer wash and went to prayer. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">He patched up his sandals and sewed his own clothing himself.
