It is mentioned in a hadith that men who died and were martyred on the battlefield while fighting for Islam will get 72 Hoor al Ayn, who are beautiful maidens in Paradise. Therefore, this reward is only for a specific group of men in Paradise. There is no issue with this at all as Muslims believe in a Paradise where a person will get whatever they desire, even if it be a thousand women. Muslims are told by God not to commit adultery, fornication, or any evil sexual acts in this world, and in return, God will give them whatever they want because they were righteous on earth and didn’t cause corruption. However, this brings up the question: why is the reward for men mentioned but not for women? Well, it isn’t true that the reward for women isn’t mentioned, because when one looks at The Noble Quran, the reward is usually addressing both men and women. However, when it comes to the spouses of the people of paradise, The Quran focuses on the man. Now why is that? Allah is The King and has Infinite Wisdom in everything He does, whether we understand it or not and whether it is befitting to us or not. However, what might be a wisdom derived from the case is that it is clear and well known that there is a major disparity between the sexual proclivity between the male and female, and numerous studies back this idea up. Hence, The Quran caters for this by giving this incentive to men to stay away from prohibited actions in this world. It is less appropriate and unbefitting for there to be a mention of what women will have because women are known for preserving their modesty and shyness more than that of a man, even though both should be modest. However, women will have whatever their hearts desire in Paradise as well. And although it might seem like a woman wouldn’t desire her man to have more than one spouse, there are no ill feelings or jealousy between the people of Paradise, and Allah will make it so that everyone is more than satisfied with what they have. Allah Says in The Quran (interpretation of meaning), “Indeed, those who have said, ‘Our Lord is Allah’ and then remained on a right course – the angels will descend upon them, [saying], ‘Do not fear and do not grieve but receive good tidings of Paradise, which you were promised. We [angels] were your allies in worldly life and [are so] in the Hereafter. And you will have therein whatever your souls desire, and you will have therein whatever you request [or wish] as accommodation from a [Lord who is] Forgiving and Merciful'” (Quran 41:30-32).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
