Yes this is true. Allah the Almighty created Adam in his image. But note here one thing. God created Adam in 👉🏼<\/span><\/span>\u2018\u2019his\u2019\u2019 not \u2018\u2019His\u2019\u2019 image since you capitalised the \u2018H\u2019 this means that you wonna say that we assimilate Allah to Adam. This is absolutely incorrect because Islam is the only faith on earth that doesn’t confine God’s attributes to a place or time. We don’t assimilate<\/p>\n

Add to this that the meaning which the overall scholars agree upon is that God created Adam in his : meaning in Adam’s shape but not God’s. Because the surat of monotheism negates so too and says Nothing is comparable to Him.<\/p>\n

Yet, there are other hadeeths (Prophet\u2019s sayings) confirming the above meaning litteraly but without resemblance of God to humans.<\/p>\n

God is All Hearing All Seeing has all beautiful names and attributes but is never compared to His creation<\/p>\n

You may say :
\n“well but the meaning sounds like Adam has face and God has a Face too”<\/em><\/p>\n

We will respond yes absolutely in Hadeeth we are told that God has Face Sight Hearing, Chin, Leg ..etc but God is beyond measure and unconceivable thus has not organs like us. Because he says in the Noble Quran that (( Nothing is like Him. And He is All Hearing All Seeing))<\/p>\n

Shaykh Ibn Baaz (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked: There is a Hadeeth narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in which he forbids saying \u201cMay Allaah deform your face\u201d, and says that Allaah created Adam in his image. What is the correct belief with regard to this hadeeth?<\/p>\n

He replied:<\/p>\n

This hadeeth is proven from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), in which he said: \u201cIf any one of you strikes (another), let him avoid the face, for Allaah created Adam in his image.\u201d According to another version: \u201cIn the image of the Most Merciful.\u201d This does not imply resemblance or likeness.

\nIt means in the image Allah gave him or in the image that resembles us humans not God
\nBecause Allah has no Image known to us<\/p>\n

What is meant, according to the scholars, is that Allaah created Adam with the ability to hear and see, and to speak when he wants. These are also attributes of Allaah, for He is All-Hearing, All-Seeing, and He speaks when He wants, and He has a Face, may He be glorified and exalted.<\/p>\n

*But it does not mean that there is any resemblance or likeness.
\n*Rather the image of Allaah is different from that of created beings.
\n*What is meant is that He is All-Hearing, All-Seeing, and He speaks when He wants, and He created Adam also able to hear and see, with a face and hands and feet.<\/p>\n

But man\u2019s hearing is not like Allaah\u2019s hearing, his seeing is not like Allaah\u2019s seeing, his speaking is not like Allaah\u2019s speaking.<\/p>\n

Rather Allaah has attributes that befit His Majesty and Might, and man has attributes that befit him, attributes that are finite and imperfect, whereas the Attributes of Allaah are Perfect, with no shortcomings, they are infinite and endless.<\/p>\n

Hence Allaah says:<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is nothing like Him, and He is the All\u2011Hearer, the All\u2011Seer\u201d
\n\u25cf[al-Shoora 42:11]<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd there is none co\u2011equal or comparable unto Him\u201d
\n\u25cf[al-Ikhlaas 112:4]<\/p>\n

So it is not permissible to strike the face or say \u201cMay Allaah deform your face\u201d.

Another thing that will help to explain the meaning of this Hadeeth is the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him):<\/p>\n

\u201cThe first group to enter Paradise will be in the image of the moon\u201d
\n\u25cf(Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 3245; Muslim, 2834.\u201d<\/p>\n

What the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) meant here is that the first group will be in human form, but because of their purity, beauty and brightness of face they will look like the moon, so they are likened to the moon, but without resembling it. So just because a thing is said to be in the image of a thing it does not mean that it is like it in all aspects.<\/p>\n

The Prophet\u2019s words, \u201cAdam was created in his image\u201d<\/p>\n

means that Allaah created Adam in his image, for he has a Face, an Eye, a Hand, and a Foot, and Adam had a face, an eye, a hand, and a foot\u2026 but that does not mean that these attributes are exactly the same.<\/p>\n

There is no similarity, and is not exactly the same.<\/p>\n

Similarly the first group to enter Paradise are likened to the moon, but they are not exactly the same.<\/p>\n

This confirms the view of Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jamaa’ah, who say that none of the attributes of Allaah can be likened to the attributes of created beings, without distorting or misinterpreting, or discussing how or likening Him to His creation.<\/p>\n

So always remember
\nHe is not as he
\nPlus Creator and creation have face eyes etc but this is not that.<\/p>\n
