Abu Dharr al-Ghif\u0101r\u012b said that the Messenger of All\u0101h (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645) said: \u201cThe seven heavens in comparison to the Kurs\u012b is nothing but like a ring thrown in a desert, and the excellence of the \u02bdArsh (Throne of All\u0101h) over the Kurs\u012b is like the excellence of that desert over that ring.\u201d<\/p>\n
Shaykh al-Alb\u0101n\u012b comments:
\n\u201cThe had\u012bth comes forth as an explanation of (All\u0101h\u2019s) statement, the Most High: \u2018His Kurs\u012b extends over the heavens and the earth,\u2019[1] and it is clear with regard to the existence of the Kurs\u012b being the greatest of creations after the Throne (of All\u0101h), and that it is an independent, physical entity and not something abstract. Therefore, there is a refutation in (this had\u012bth) against the one who interprets (the Kurs\u012b) to mean \u2018dominion\u2019 and \u2018extent of rule,\u2019 as mentioned in some explanations of the Qur\u2019\u0101n. And it was not narrated from Ibn Abb\u0101s that (the Kurs\u012b) is \u2018knowledge,\u2019 so it is not correct to attribute it to him because it is from the narration of Ja\u02bdfar bin Abi l-Mugh\u012bra from Sa\u02bd\u012bd bin Jubayr from (Ibn \u02bdAbb\u0101s). Ibn Jar\u012br reported it. Ibn Mandah said: \u2018Ibn Abi l-Mugh\u012bra is not strong with regard to (narrating from) Ibn Jubayr.\u2019<\/p>\n
And know that it is not correct to describe the Kurs\u012b\u2026as in some narrations that\u2026four angels carry it, each angel having four faces, and their feet are upon the rock that is under the seventh earth, etc. So all of this is not correct in being attributed to the Prophet (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645) and some of (these narrations) are more severe in weakness than others.\u201d<\/p>\n
Translator\u2019s Note: Shaykh Al-Alb\u0101n\u012b after this however, did grade the following narration as authentic:
\nAbu M\u016bs\u0101 al-Ash\u02bdar\u012b said: \u201cThe Kurs\u012b is the place of the two Feet and it has a groaning like that of a camel saddle.\u201d[2]
