First Level [Lesson 4] “The Testimony of Faith

The Testimony of Faith (Shahada in arabic)

🔶 Shahada is believing by heart and saying by tongue : (Ash-hadu an la ilaha illa Allah w ash-hadu ann Muhammad rasool Allah)

⚡️Ash-hadu means “i bear witness”
⚡️an means “that”

⚡️La: There is no; ilaha: god (deity); illa: except; Allah: Allah (God)

⚡️And therefore the literal meaning of the phrase “La ilaha illa Allah” = “There is no god (deity) except Allah”
⚡️Muhammad rasool Allah means Muhammad is the messenger of Allah

🌸The testimony of faith is believing by heart and saying with conviction,  “There is no true god (deity) but God (Allah), and Muhammad is the Messenger (Prophet) of God.”

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

🍃The first part, “There is no true god but God,” means that none has the right to be worshipped but God alone, and that God has neither partner nor son.  This testimony of faith is called the Shahada, a simple formula which should be said with conviction in order to convert to Islam .
🍃  The testimony of faith is the first pillar of Islam.💚💛

💡 Why the Statement “Laa ilaaha illa Allaah”?

🌹Because it is the first duty of a Muslim. Therefore, whoever intends to accept Islam must make such a declaration of faith and believe in it.

🌹Because whoever says it, sincerely believing in it and seeking thereby Allah’s pleasure, will be saved from Hellfire, as the prophet ﷺ said, “Allah has forbidden for the Hellfire anyone who says, ‘There is no one worthy of worship except Allah,’ seeking thereby Allah’s pleasure.” (Saheeh Al-Bukhaaree: 415)

🌹Because whoever dies while believing in it will be admitted into Paradise, as the prophet ﷺ said, “Whoever dies knowing full well that there is no god but Allah will enter Paradise.” (Musnad Ahmad:464)

🌹Because knowledge of its meaning and dictates, is unquestionably the greatest and most important duty of a Muslim.

🌸🍃Those who sincerely worship Allah, following the dictates of the testimony of faith, will certainly lead a happy life, for it is only by worshipping Allah alone that hearts find peace and real satisfaction,

as the Qur’an states, “Whoever does good, whether male or female, and he is a believer., We will most certainly make him live a happy life.” (Soorat An-Nahl, 16:97)

🌻Since the BELIEF IN ALLAH includes the belief that:

▪️Allah ﷻ exists
▪️His Lordship
▪️His Godship
▪️His Names and Attributes.

We should know what every point of them means🌺

💎 Number 1️⃣ 👇🏼

🔵The belief that Allah exists🔵

✨Affirming the existence of Allah is something that is  👉innate👈
in human beings and does not require anything to prove it.

Indeed, it is for this reason that most people acknowledge God’s existence despite their different religious beliefs. We know in our hearts that Allah exists because we always seek His assistance and support in times of hardship.❤️

💎 Number ⁦2️⃣⁩👇

🔵The belief in Allah’s Lordship🔵

✨ What does it mean when we say that Allah is The Lord ⁉️

👉This simply means that Allah is one in His actions , no one does the actions He almighty does.

This is called in arabic : Tawheed al-ruboobiyyah (Oneness of Lordship)👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

🎁Tawheed al-ruboobiyyah means affirming that Allaah is One and Unique in His actions, such as creation, sovereignty, controlling affairs, provision, giving life and death, sending down the rain, and so on.
🔹A person’s Tawheed is not complete unless he affirms that Allaah is the Lord, Sovereign, Creator and Provider of all things, that He is the Giver of life and death, the One Who brings benefit and causes harm, the only One Who answers prayers, the One Who is in control of all things, in Whose hand is all goodness, the One Who is able to do whatever He wills – which also includes believing in the divine will and decree (al-qadar), both good and bad.

💎 Number ⁦3️⃣⁩👇

🔵The belief in Allah’s Godship🔵

👉Allah’s Godship means that only Him is worthy of worship.

This is called in arabic: Tawheed Al-’Uloohiyyah (Oneness of Godship)

🎁The meaning of Tawheed Al-’Uloohiyyah is to single out Allaah The Almighty and perform acts of worship solely for Him. In other words, the servant must not love, fear or have hope in anyone or anything besides Allaah The Almighty; and must  dedicate all acts of worship, such as prayer, Zakah (obligatory charity), supplication, vowing, and all words and actions that Allaah The Almighty may be pleased with, to Him Alone.

{Say, “Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allaah , Lord of the worlds}[Quran 6: 162]

👌🏼And know that believing that Allah is the only One worthy of worship and directing all acts of worship to Him alone is the result of our belief that He alone is the Lord of this universe and that He has power over everything; and that He has no partner whatsoever in doing all this. ❤️

🔵The belief in Allah’s Names and attributes🔵

This part is so beautiful cause it will get you closer to Allah by giving you a tiny glimpse of His greatness and mercy, Let’s begin 💪

We believe in the names and attributes which Allah has affirmed for Himself or His Messenger PBUH has affirmed for Him in a manner that suits His majesty.

♥️Allah has the most beautiful names and perfect attributes. All His names and attributes are unique, as the Qur’an states, “There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing.” ( Quran , 42:11) Therefore, none of whatever He has created has similar names or attributes in any way.🌻

🌸Some of Allah’s Most Beautiful Names

👉“He is the Hearing, the Seeing” (Quran, 42:11)

👉“And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.” (Quran, 31:9)

👉“Allah –there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence.” (Quran, 2:255)
