Do Muslims Worship a Separate, Exclusive God? Is Allah the Name of an Idol?

Allah is not the name of some random idol, nor is it a name that Muslims came up with. Allah is the name of God, and He has chosen it for Himself. The word God in Arabic means “Ilah.” However, the name of God that He has named Himself with is Allah. This is why, according to Christian writings, Jesus spoke Aramaic, and the word God in Aramaic is translated as “Elaha” or “Elah.” “Elohim” is also used frequently in the Bible. If one reads the Old and New Testament in Arabic, one will see Allah’s name in these scriptures since this is the name of God. This is the name of the Creator of all things.

And Allah knows best.
