Can Muslims Only Pray to God When They are in a State of Ablution?

There are two different types of prayer. There is the prayer that Muslims have to pray five times a day, and this requires ablution, or wudu’, in order to perform. These five obligatory prayers have certain rituals one has to follow according to how the Prophet PBUH prayed them. The second type of prayer, also known as dua’, does not need ablution. This is when one wants to ask Allah for something that they need or want, and this type of prayer can be done at any time and any place. Additionally, in the five daily prayers, one has time to make dua’ inside the obligatory prayer in any language he wants, and it’s not limited to Arabic.

And Allah knows best.
