Why Can’t Muslims Eat Pork?

Muslims cant eat Pork because Allah, Glorified and Exalted, said so, and He is The All Knowing, All Wise. Allah says in the Quran, “Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “I do not find in what has been revealed to me anything forbidden to eat except carrion, running blood, swine—which is impure—or a sinful offering in the name of any other than Allah. But if someone is compelled by necessity—neither driven by desire nor exceeding immediate need—then surely your Lord is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful” (Quran 6:145). So Allah tells us that pork is impure. Even according to the Bible, it is not allowable for Jews and Christians to eat pork. The Bible states, “And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase” (Deuteronomy 14:8). In another passage, “And the pig, though it has a divided hoof, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you. You must not eat their meat or touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you” (Leviticus 11:7-8). Additionally, there are many studies that even show how pork is the most dangerous meat and rots the quickest. But as Muslims, when Allah decrees a matter, they shouldn’t question it. Muslims know that morality is always subjective unless it is from the Divine Creator. Our God made us, and if He made us, He knows what is best for us. The first person to manufacture a car knows what is good to put in the car and what is bad for the car since he is the one who made it. Similarly, our Creator is the one who made us, so people should get their objective morality from Him.

And Allah knows best.
